Clearwater Quick Facts
The Clearwater Supervisory Area at Orofino administers 118,164 acres of endowment land. Of this total, 106,437 acres is classified as primary forest land and 9,924 acres is secondary forest land. The remaining 1,803 acres is non-forest.
The Clearwater Supervisory Area has significant holdings in all endowments except the Capital endowment. Besides Public School, the Area administers large holdings for Agricultural College, University, Science School, Charitable Institutions, Normal School and State Hospital South. The Clearwater Area presently has an estimated 1,121.2 MMBF of sawtimber on 62,353 acres of sawtimber stands. There is an additional 67.3 MMBF of sawtimber on the 44,044 acres of primary forest alnds in various stages of regeneration. This inventory currently provides an annual harvest of 33 MMBF.
