About Our Office

The Cataldo Forest Protection District office was originally part of the Department of Lands-St. Joe Area and was first located in the old Kingston High School building in 1968. A new office was built at the Hilltop Overpass Road site in 1971, where it still resides today. In October 2001 Cataldo became a Supervisory Area. The Administrative Area includes parts of Shoshone, Benewah and Kootenai counties.

Meet Our Staff

Bob Burke - email: bburke@idl.idaho.gov - is the Area Manager of the Cataldo Supervisory Area. Bob has a wide range of educational and work experience.  He has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resources from the University of Idaho and has completed the CEEM (Continuing Education in Ecosystem Management) program.  Bob began his employment with the Department in 1975 as an Assistant Fire Warden on the Cataldo FPD.  He subsequently held positions as a Senior Forester/Resource Supervisor on the St. Joe Area, Log Scaling Program Manager, Timber Sale Program Manager and Fire and Fuels Program Manager.  Bob’s resume also includes experience in the private sector as a Forester and Assistant Timber Manager.

Jeanne Bradley - email: jbradley@idl.idaho.gov - is a Senior Resource Manager-Timber. Jeanne started with the Department as a Resource Technician-Timber on the St. Joe Supervisory Area in 2000. In 2001 she went to Craig Mountain Fire Protective District (now Craig Mountain Supervisory Area) as a Resource Manager-Fire. Jeanne transferred to Cataldo in March of 2002 and is responsible for all forest activities on endowment lands southwest of Pinehurst (Latour Creek/Blackrock Ridge).

Jeremy Brandt - email: jjbrandt@idl.idaho.gov - is a Senior Resource Manager-Timber. Jeremy has worked for the Department since 1995. He worked three years as a seasonal on the St. Joe Supervisory Area and four years as a Resource Manager in the Department's Payette Lakes Supervisory Area before coming to Cataldo in the fall of 2001. Jeremy is responsible for all forest management activities on endowment lands north of Kingston (Graham Mountain) and the eastern portion of the Silver Valley.

The Cataldo Area office also employs seasonal staff of approximately eight fire personnel and four timber personnel.
