Welcome to the Idaho Community Forestry Technical Tree Information web pages.

Within this site
you will find information,
tools and resources covering an expanding variety of subjects.

We will continue
to add topics
and information,
so please keep checking back.

  • Preparing for a Natural Disaster
Severe winds, earthquakes, wildfires, floods, ice storms - these events strike communities across the country with alarming regularity. Planning for when a natural disaster strikes can save lives, money and property and reopen emergency services quickly and efficiently. This page will provide a lot of useful, practical and easy to follow information on planning for natural disasters, developing hazard tree management programs to reduce damage, coping with disasters when they hit and re-greening your community afterward.

  • Benefits of Trees
This page includes a wide range of information on ways trees add value to communities. Researchers are starting to quantify these and the economic value of the benefits community trees provide may surprise you.

  • Healthy Trees, Healthy Communities, Healthy People (coming soon)
