Hazard Fuel Treatment on Private Lands (funds awarded)
 
This project funds wildland urban interface and roadside fuels reduction. To reduce future risk of wildfire, treatments include thinning, piling, burning and biomass removal.

Forest Health Improvement and Hazard Fuel Treatment on Private Lands
(funds not yet awarded)
 

This project funds an assessment of over crowded forests, prioritization of treatment units and thinning and pruning activities. To reduce future risks of wildfire, wildland urban interface and roadside fuel reduction activities include thinning, piling, burning and biomass removal.

 
Location: Silver Valley, Shoshone County

About the Process

The Idaho Department of Lands submitted twenty-three projects to conduct work on state and private lands in Idaho. The projects listed above were awarded from the U.S. Forest Service to IDL and are being administered through the counties.
