Fire restrictions are meant to help prevent unwanted human-caused wildfires in state parks, forests and rangelands. There are Stage 1 and Stage 2 restrictions, each with specific activities that are permitted or prohibited.

Fire restrictions are established using statewide-approved guidelines following the criteria established in the interagency 2022 Idaho Fire Restrictions Plan.
