Endowment Timber Sales
Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) manages approximately one million acres of endowment timberland in Idaho. IDL manages our timber resources to maximize long-term financial revenue for the endowments of Idaho. Our management strictly adheres to Idaho’s Forest Practices Act. Our prudent management of Idaho’s endowment timber resources provides consistent returns to the beneficiaries while our stewardship and investment in silviculture creates a healthy, resilient forest for future generations.
Our GIS-enabled Timber Sale Advertisement application helps interested parties find information about proposed timber sales for auction by the Idaho Department of Lands. This app connects users with an interactive map featuring geospatial data and timber sale documents. You can also sign up to receive notifications about timber sales offered in your area.
