Assistance for Forest Landowners

Idaho Department of Lands partners with private and industrial forest landowners and communities with the common goal of improving forest health. Healthy forests are more resistant to fire, insect, and disease threats. Private forestland owners can partner with IDL’s Private Forestry Specialists (PFS) for assistance with forest management plans, tree planting, mitigating forest health issues, and applying for cost share assistance. IDL also provides educational sessions covering a broad range of forestry topics.
