Forestry Job Descriptions

A large portion of the annual income for the endowment beneficiaries is derived from the sale and harvest of timber. These positions support that mission and involve measuring trees, marking boundaries, surveying tree growth, data collection, as well as reforestation.

Wildfire Job Descriptions

With our partners IDL protects 6.3 million acres. We responded to more than 400 fires in 2021, with 142,022 acres burned in IDL protection areas. IDL Fire has openings for temporary fire crews for the upcoming wildfire season: engine, hand crews, and helitack.
