Right-of-Way

Each year, the Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) reviews many requests for Right-of-Way (ROW) authorizations on Endowment Lands. A ROW grant gives permission to use a specific piece of land for a defined project or purpose and time period.

Careful planning with IDL staff helps ensure applications are processed efficiently while protecting the land and its resources. Before starting any project or activity, contact your local IDL Supervisory Area Office or a ROW Agent to find out if a ROW is required.
