Equipment Operator (EQOP)
Training time: 2.5 hours
Once qualified, an Equipment Operator can work on both initial attack and extended attack fires for the Idaho Department of Lands.
Required Training
Keep all Certificates and Completion Memos for your records.
IDL Industrial Training
IDL Industry Training or RT-130 must be completed annually.
RT-130
Wildland Fire Safety Training Annual Refresher. Can be completed instead of IDL Industry training.
IDL Certification
Operator/Forester supplies Contractor with proof of training. IDL issues Certification Cards. Anyone requesting to become certified must be sponsored by an Industry Contractor.
Work Capacity Test
Ensures a person is physically capable of the minimum fitness requirements and must be completed annually.
