Bonners Ferry - Idaho Department of Lands invites the public to celebrate Arbor Day in Bonners Ferry on Friday, April 28 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Super 1 Foods Parking Lot.

The event will offer free seedlings while supplies last. People will be able to meet firefighters and take a closeup look at the fire engines. There will also be a lot of giveaways and fun activities.

This community event is hosted by the Idaho Department of Lands, Boundary Soil and Conservation District and the University of Idaho Extension.

Arbor Day is the day people across the country are encouraged to plant trees. It began in 1872 in Nebraska and has since spread worldwide.
